The march continued its rampage down Forbes, encountering some two-bit would-be queerbasher calling us faggots. Before he could realize his mistake, we enacted a particularly cold-blooded sadism on the fool. He was shown his error in a shower of kicks, punches, and a copious dousing of pepper spray. Before he even hit the floor, the immunitary logic of biopower was turned inside-out. His power to shape our bodies and to expose them to death was collapsed into itself.

Yes, our bodies have been shaped, but into monstrous vessels of potential and revolt. He was instead made our object and was exposed to our violence. An amalgamation of our crude delinquency and nasty desires unapologetically saturated the streets (and bathrooms and hotels and alleys) of Pittsburgh this past week. With ribald irresponsibility we wrecked, fucked, fought, and came all over politics’ symbolic terrain, synchronized only in our lust for disorder.

Using our bucking bodies against restraint itself, we had no message – choosing instead to leave behind ruins of boundaries and a tangible path of demolition. Our unleashing of violent aspirations upon homophobic frat boys and lifeless-daily-addictions spilled over as we pursued further stimulation onto each other. We got wet and came hard in a pile of dirty money, corrupting every inch of sterility with the funk of our perspiring bodies – aching with impure satisfaction. Our scheming, pleasure-seeking bodies came into conflict with lesser realities and emerged victorious. We left strains of the queerest kind all over the broken bits of capital graced by our presence.

If an ICE agent "feels unsafe" he can quit on the spot and go home.

An immigrant - or alleged immigrant who's just too brown I guess now - isn't safe to even to go to a legal appointment to try to become a legal citizen. They wouldn't be safe if you actually deported them and they certainly aren't safe in an unregulated overseas prison that could easily become a death camp.

So I think maybe we should make it feel unsafe to be an ICE agent persecuting immigrants, actually.

At least socially. Certainly their soul is in danger if they have one.

Remember what our grandparents did to the first Nazis. Hope that's not what it comes to. Because ICE is free right now to choose to stop and walk away.

We have to protect our neighbors, by any means necessary.

I've had a few excellent days at pride (plenty of queer sex/flirting/comradery) but also came across some assholes that insisted on using a megaphone to proclaim that Jesus finds gay sex sinful or whatever. I ended up calling them clowns, but what's the strategy here, how do y'all deal with this? In hindsight I've considered the following strategies:

Gay make-out sessions in front of them, preferably involving lots of gays (would need several gays, but this could be managed)

Telling them that every time they call it a sin I'll have gay sex

Setting up a sign of my own, recruiting people to arranging gay sex parties

Playing loud copyrighted music to drown their shit out/DMCA their shit from youtube

Like, my intuition here is just to show that we dgaf, and that we're the ones having a fucking great time, but I'm also very pragmatic in that I don't really give a shit about methods as long as they are effecting in limiting the reach/power of these fucking assholes. The context I'm in is overall queer friendly, and christians don't hold significant power. Doing something feels sensible both because it feels good, but also because there were queer kids there and they shouldn't be the ones having to deal with that bs. Any recommendations here?

The only bullies I ever got to stop were the three that tried to jump me in 8th grade and I completely lost it on them. Screaming bloody murder and swinging no matter how often they hit me. In the end I had a swollen shut eye and more bruises than skin but between the three of them they had a broken foot, black eyes, 3 loose teeth and a broken wrist.

They got detention. I got suspended.

Totally worth it.

EDIT: How do we show appreciation to the volunteers? For me reading these deep dives on OTW issues u guys apparently it's been said multiple times that one of their objective statements is to have paid staff for ao3 and there's a surplus of donations they haven't used up or the other community solutions that needs to address. For those more financially literate feel free to analyze, snipe me or add to the discussion etc. linked here by deepa. They’re cool and these yearly analysis they did aint no joke.

But Seriously what can we do for these volunteers? The probable burn out from this entire fiasco would be no joke. @ao3org
